John E. Goins II began his career in the trades in 1995 as an apprentice with Riviera Electric — one of Colorado's most respected electrical contractors. Trained through the Riviera Electric Academy and driven by a commitment to mastering his craft, John earned his Colorado Journeyman Electrician license after four years of hands-on education and field experience.
Recognizing the growing complexity and critical importance of low voltage and life safety systems, John navigated toward fire alarm specialization — a discipline where precision, code knowledge, and accountability are non-negotiable. In 2010, he founded Fire Werks LTD as a Colorado LLC, later restructuring as a Sub-S Corporation to support the company's continued growth.
Today, Fire Werks LTD operates a full-service installation and service group, holding local and federal contracts and partnering with multi-billion dollar companies across the country. From Nashville International Airport to U.S. Air Force bases, our reputation is built on the same foundation John laid in 1995 — hard work, technical excellence, and doing the job right.

My name is John E. Goins II, President and Founder of Fire Werks LTD. I started my career in the electrical trades in 1995 as an apprentice with Riviera Electric, where I received my foundational training through the Riviera Electric Academy. After four years of dedicated study and field work, I attained my Colorado Journeyman Electrician license.
As my career progressed, I recognized the critical and specialized nature of low voltage and fire alarm systems — disciplines where the stakes are measured in lives, not just code compliance. I committed myself to mastering this field, building the technical depth and industry relationships that would become the backbone of Fire Werks LTD.
In 2010, I established Fire Werks LTD as a Colorado LLC, later restructuring as a Sub-S Corporation to position the company for long-term growth. What began as a regional operation has grown into a nationally recognized fire alarm and life safety contractor — one that now holds local and federal contracts and works alongside multi-billion dollar companies on some of the most demanding projects in the country.
Our team operates a full-service installation and service group, delivering fire alarm design, installation, inspection, testing, and 24/7 monitoring for commercial, industrial, government, and military clients. Every project — regardless of size or complexity — receives the same level of precision and accountability that has defined this company from its first day.

He is the founder of Main Street Housing — a successful East Coast operation that provides transitional housing for individuals returning to the community from mental health facilities.
