The Pikes Peak Regional Building Department is the Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) for building permits, plan review, and inspections across Colorado Springs, El Paso County, Fountain, Woodland Park, Manitou Springs, and surrounding communities. Fire Werks LTD works directly with PPRBD on permit submissions, plan reviews, and final inspections to ensure every project meets adopted code standards including the 2021 IBC and 2023 NEC.
NICET is the nationally recognized certification body for engineering technicians and technologists. Fire Werks LTD supports and upholds NICET certification standards — our technicians hold NICET credentials in Fire Alarm Systems and Inspection & Testing of Fire Alarm Systems, demonstrating verified competency and professionalism in every project we undertake.
The Colorado Springs Fire Department serves as the local fire authority and Fire Marshal's office for the City of Colorado Springs. Fire Werks LTD coordinates with CSFD on fire alarm system approvals, fire code compliance, and final acceptance testing. Our work is performed in accordance with CSFD fire code requirements and the Fire Marshal's administrative rulings, ensuring every system we install is accepted and approved by the authority that protects our community.
